Sustainability is embedded in our strategy and drives decision-making and business practices from product development to recruitment. Our technologies address key sustainability megatrends in our target markets and bring environmental and social benefits to society through our focus on cleaner, smarter and healthier. We also have an ambitious agenda to reduce our environmental footprint and carbon emissions, including targeting Net Zero Scope 1 & 2 emissions by 2035.
In positioning sustainability central to our strategy, we focus on 3 key areas:
Build a cleaner future, reducing humanity’s impact on the planet by cutting back our own carbon footprint & creating innovative products that minimise resource needs.
Build a smarter future, working better together to create more efficient products. In an inclusive environment, we’re harnessing our diverse minds to develop our electronic engineering expertise and drive innovation.
Build a healthier future, engaging our colleagues and community’s around meaningful work. Improving the quality of living by empowering our people to thrive in a safe space, and creating products for medical technologies that improve health outcomes.
Zero harm with year-on-year reductions
Build an inclusive, vibrant and diverse environment for our employees
NET ZERO Net Zero Scope 1 & 2 emissions by 2035 with like-for-like reductions annually
Reduce our use of single use plastics
Reduce the amount of waste we send to landfill every year
We believe it’s important to actively support local causes and help the communities in which we operate. That’s why we encourage our employees to get involved - use their skills and their hours for giving to support social and environmental projects, volunteer for local charities and feel proud to be part of TT Electronics.
Pupils from local schools recently visited our Bedlington facility in the UK as part of their STEM fortnight, the schoolchildren built model cars, helped by seven of our engineers. One eager visitor to the site even commented that TT could stand for ‘Terrific Technology’!
Corporate Social Responsibility day was focused on cleaning an area of local beach. Despite gloomy weather over 400 employees and their families took part raising over $600 for several local environmental charities to help in supporting their efforts.
During uncertain times, TT’s teams continued to support local communities. In Mexicali, Mexico the “Giving Something Back” programme provided two bags of food to each employee to be shared between family and neighbours to support the most vulnerable.
